Novel-core pacs
Novel is the core PACS Server software solution in the medical imaging center’s radiology network. It provides a service available on-premise or on-site, meaning the center must prepare a suitable server for installing Novel on it.
Novel Web dicom viewer
Besides serving as the core PACS Server, Novel also provides a DICOM web viewer for clients with access to the medical imaging network.
This Zero-Footprint viewer offers high-level security and enables image processing and viewing. It supports some of the most advanced features, providing a wide range of tools to physicians and radiologists for improved and quicker diagnostics.
Novel supports data encryption through SSL and VPN, which is crucial for the security of web-based image viewing. It also includes a comprehensive web-based response package.
The Web Viewer Novel runs on all operating systems and browsers on both desktop and mobile versions. In addition to viewing images, it features specialized tools like ROI tools, MPR, and Hanging Protocol as well as reporting, downloading, and other functionalities.
Compression with DICOM JPEG-2000 and Mpeg 4 standards
Novel supports display of all formats and can handle compressed images using JPEG 2000, allowing for storage on the PACS server at half the usual size while maintaining original quality, resulting in a 50% reduction in storage costs. Additionally, it offers compression features for video files and streamed images with support for DICOM Mpeg4.
